Some Words About The Project 'Anischestra' is a musical project started by Tamas Arki, a Pecs (Hungary)-residing fan of ambient, psychedelic and world music. From these three elements he tries to make his very own sound, instrumentation and atmosphere in which we can hear the following instruments: the Jew's harp, the didgeridoo, the derbouka, the kalimba and some electronic loops, pads, effects, pieces of noise. 'Anischestra' is a jam-project. Improvisation has a huge importance in its music but as inspiration and in some songs it reflects on Hungarian folk songs. 'Anischestra' is primarily a one-man project but is always open to people who'd like to contribute to its music as guests.
Why 'Anischestra'? The name 'Anischestra' basically comes from three words: anese, aniseed and orchestra. Aniseed is the seed of the anese and is used to give flavour to drinks and some meals too. (Orchestra obviously stands for 'musical project'.) By choosing this name, a concept is also set: Anischestra would like to give some flavour to the music of today. A quite exotic flavour which some people find good, some don't. Give it a listen.
